We proceed to a public subscription to raise funds to support the making of the movie BALZAC/RODIN: THE UNLIKELY ENCOUNTER about the stort of the monumental Balzac by Rodin, directed by Laurent Canches, written with Michel Ellenberger and to move the Monumental Balzac located at the carrefour Vavin to the future public area close to the Maison de Balzac in Paris which will be realized by the authorities of Paris City Hall.

Buy a daguerreotype of Balzac

A serie of 13 reproductions of the portrait of Balzac is made by Marc Kereun to support the association.

This reproduction of the portrait of Balzac made by L.A. Bisson in 1842 is a true daguerreotype made today. The daguerreotype is an early type of photograph, developed by Louis Daguerre, in which the image is exposed directly onto a mirror-polished surface of silver bearing a coating of silver halide particles deposited by iodine vapor.

Thirteen daguerreotypes can today be acquired by joining the association with a donation of 650 euros. The daguerreotype #1/13 is booked by the Maison de Balzac in Paris which hosts the original plate of 1842.
